Last month record numbers of clients opened new accounts with FIIG. Now it’s even easier to open a new or additional account with our online application feature. Simply select Apply in the main menu above or visit fiig.com.au/apply.
This feature has primarily been built for the Private Client sector and it can be used by both new customers looking to open their first account, or by existing clients looking to open an additional account.
The feature will guide you through a smart form which will prompt and collect all the details relevant to your investment entity type (i.e. SMSF, Individual, Joint, etc). It also enables us to confirm your identity in real-time (using details from your Drivers Licence, Medicare Card and Passport). In most cases this will eliminate the need to provide us with certified copies of your identity documents making the process less onerous. The information provided by you online is then used by FIIG's Client Services Team to pre-fill and check your paper application before you sign and submit it.
Existing clients can use the feature to open an additional account, though are required to log out of their existing account before starting an application.
Intermediary investment account applications will need to continue to follow the current process due to the complexity of the entity.
